Child Counseling

Welcome to the HARTT of Walker County

Where the weight of trauma is being met with a healing embrace

At the HARTT of our Mission

We are a local nonprofit organization specializing in trauma informed care, family support, and therapy for children and families in need.  Anthony Sellers and Tina Aaron founded HARTT after years of working with children, teens, and families in Walker County. HARTT’s vision is to help young people heal and respond to trauma through the various services we offer.  These services include Juvenile Justice support, individual and family counseling, foster child and family support, family visitations, school-based services, and trauma informed training and support.

Our hope is to ensure that any child suffering from the struggle of trauma will have the resources they need to create a path of resilience and success. We want them to know that the struggles they face today do not have to shape their future.  Each one of our team members are certified in Trauma and Resilience (CTPE), and we continue to find effective training to produce the support our community needs. For us, individualized service plans is of the utmost importance.  Each child is different, each family is unique, and our team is prepared with the tools to be flexible in those circumstances.  Whether in school, at home, the office, or in public, the HARTT team is ready to meet the needs of each child and pave the way for a better Walker County.
